Susan Sandage

Acupuncturist

Susan Sandage is a graduate of Kent State University (Class of 1977), holding Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She has worked as a registered nurse for more than 25 years, starting her career working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She has worked in all areas of nursing including home care, treating elderly patients with diabetes, pulmonary & heart disease, and non-healing surgical wounds.

“My nursing experience has enriched me greatly in many ways.
I have treated many patients throughout my career for ailments anywhere from a heart attack to a sore throat.”

After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, Susan was successfully treated using
acupuncture, recovering fully in less than three months. Coming from a Western medical perspective as a registered nurse made me more appreciative of the miraculous improvements made by using Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Susan graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, NM with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is an Oriental Medicine Diplomate by the NCCAOM, Licensed Acupuncturist (VA), and is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She has added training in cosmetic, rehabilitative, and mental health acupuncture, as well as extended chronic pain studies.

Passionate about awakening humanity to its innate healing possibilities, she feels she has a unique perspective on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

“Having worked with Western medicine for many years, I can appreciate the vast improvements in health using acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I want the clients leaving my office experiencing improved health and well-being.”

Blessed with many fine teachers, Susan incorporates into her practice many principles of Jeffrey Yuen, Dr. Richard Tan, Dr. Claudia Welch, Dr. Jim Ventresca, and Dr. John Chen, Ph.D.

“I enjoy growing professionally and helping my clients experience health and transformation through Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am grateful.”
