Acupuncturist

I am an experienced and honest acupuncturist and herbalist serving Grand Junction and the Grand Valley. I am excited about my profession, because I know of no other medicine more powerful than regular acupuncture sessions combined with appropriate nutritional support. When the nervous system is stimulated to provide electricity and neurotransmitters for the nourishment of the body, it literally heals itself. Results are profound, and often permanent with occasional periodic maintenance. I am both excited and honored to be a part of such a rich 4,000 year-old medicine! I believe with my whole heart that the service I provide is valuable because my patients tell me so, and I can literally see the difference in their eyes! I decided to become an Acupuncturist and Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine when I saw a need for quality, competent, natural healthcare in our country. I had family members who had struggled with health issues despite their dedication to Allopathic Medicine. For some of them, one medication was simply followed by another without any significant improvement. After being educated in nutrition and beginning my study of medicinal plants and foods, I began to believe that the reason so many people failed to get better was that they did not have the nutrition, and therefore raw materials for their bodies to heal. We in fact are what we eat, think, and feel! It was at this point in 2004 when I began my four-year degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. As a practitioner of Traditional Medicine, I am dedicated to providing the most meaningful, clinically effective sessions possible. I enjoy getting to know my patients, as I hope you enjoy getting to know me. My personal promise to you is to “walk my talk,” stay educated on the latest acupuncture and herbal research, and to keep bringing you my best on a daily basis. When I am not giving acupuncture or working on Acupuncture Solutions, I enjoy exploring the Western Slope by hiking, biking, and camping. A lover of music, guitar, and animals, I do my best to maintain a balanced life and to “stay human! Ryan Powell, BS, MSOM, L.Ac
