Ryan holds a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University with training in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and both Tuina & Shiatsu massage. He is licensed by the California State Acupuncture Board as well as nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). Ryan has also completed a 16-month post-graduate apprenticeship from Six Harmonies Traditional Medicine Center with a focus in Tuina massage. In the summer of 2009, Ryan spent 4 weeks at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine studying Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in the Pediatric, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Injury, and Tuina departments. Ryan also enjoys playing guitar, telemark skiing, climbing, fly fishing, yoga and meditation.
