THE PHILOSOPHY Nicole’s philosophy is based on a whole body approach to wellness, prevention, and restoration. She believes that every client deserves a specialized, comprehensive system for re-education and healing. Treatments start with an in depth assessment and consultation to evaluate symptoms and customize a specific course of action. The client-therapist relationship is not only where that path begins, it’s the key to success. Nicole looks beyond the common dynamics and considers a wide range of factors that could be at the source of her clients’ pain or discomfort. Currently, the world is turning to more natural, alternative medicine and approaches to reach their health and wellness goals. To advocate this new fundamental, Nicole has created extensive training programs and massage treatment plans for on-site work and home self-care. Nicole’s fitness philosophy is based on one-on-one training or group training. Nicole’s fitness method is comprised of a unique combination of cardiovascular, strength, balance, functional movements, neuromuscular re-education, and resistance training. Nicole creates customized program for each client that combine these disciplines to meet the individual goal of the client- it’s about creating YOUR BEST HEALTH! ​THE THERAPIST Nicole Kung is a New York State licensed massage therapist, myofascial specialist, massage educator, certified personal trainer, wellness expert, and the owner of NK BODY PHILOSOPHY. Following the completion of her undergraduate at Northeastern University and her Bachelor of Science at Baruch College, Nicole attended the prestigious Swedish Institute in New York City and completed a 1000 hour massage therapy program. Upon graduating she created a successful private practice in two different locations in New York City. After departing from the spa world, Nicole trained to certify herself as a myofascial release expert—a comprehensive soft tissue therapy that relieves tension, improves circulation, and stimulates muscles’ responsiveness to stretching. During her clinical training in myofascial release, Nicole had the opportunity to work with patients with mild to severe issues ranging from minor issues such as carpal tunnel and herniated discs, to advanced work with fibromyalgia and cancer patients. Nicole has completed over 300 hours of training in this technique to become a specialist and educator.
