Mr. Joseph Winston LaFleur

Therapist/Counselor

I’ve been a practicing therapist for over 20+ years. I work with young adults, adults, all genders, and sexual orientations. My goal is to ensure you have a safe, comfortable environment to share and explore your thoughts and life experiences. We will work to help you identify and clarify the problems in your life. I will help guide you through the steps to improve your situation and quality of life by leaning into courage and embracing common humanity. You have the skills; you have practiced them; I bring awareness to them. I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or those feeling lonely or bored with life. I have been practicing for 20 plus years and will develop a treatment regime for you. The work is meaningful, rewarding, insightful, and life-changing. Good mental health is primary since it affects everything, so let’s work together on fixing things. Some of my specialties include men’s issues, LGBTQ, shame, and trauma. My associates and I work with all genders, ages ranging from adolescents to adults. I am a psycho-dynamic talk therapist. Other practice areas include Brene’ Brown’s research. I am certified in her clinical and LOD modalities (CDWF & CDTLF). I also work with trauma and highly anxious persons as a somatic experiencing practitioner (SEP.) I do have associates in my practice who provide cognitive behavioral therapy and other modalities. Reaching out takes courage. I understand; I’ve done the work. I create safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environments, supporting you forward, providing research-driven techniques. They will shift you both personally and professionally, uncovering shaming narratives and developing self-compassion and solutions to improve your quality of life.
