Michelle Racine

Acupuncturist

I was first introduced to Eastern approaches to health and wellness in my early 20’s. Soon afterwards I trained in Shiatsu-Acupressure Massage at the North Eastern Institute of Whole Health and have a deep appreciation for the healing effects of this type of bodywork, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.

In 2001, ten years after a (seemingly) minor car accident, my back ‘went out’ and I was unable to stand up straight for a week. The pain was excruciating and I felt at a complete loss as to what to do. I decided at this point to try acupuncture – and in combination with other healing modalities and lifestyle changes I now experience very little pain and have learned how to address it when it returns. Acupuncture, along with Chinese herbs and nutrition, have helped me resolve many additional health challenges including TMJ dysfunction, poor digestion, hormonal imbalances, anxiety, depression and insomnia.

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (LicAc) in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and am nationally accredited (Dipl.OM)  by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I earned by Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) at the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, Massachusetts. I received my Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of New Hampshire.

I provide Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, based on the Five Element System, that is uniquely enhanced with an extraordinary combination of seasoned body work techniques drawing from acupressure-shiatsu, craniosacral therapy and myo-fascial/visceral release. Your session may also include cupping or guasha to help relieve pain and stiffness. We can also explore nutritional and lifestyle changes to support your personal journey to greater health and wellness.

If you’d like to learn more about acupuncture, please get in touch. I take all health related questions seriously and understand that trying acupuncture for the first time may be scary.

When you come in for your first appointment we will spend time getting to know each other to collaborate on a course of treatment that is right for you. We will address the presenting symptoms as well as begin to unfold the underlying patterns that have given rise to whatever imbalances you are experiencing.

I’m here to walk with you on your journey to your best health and well-being.
