My name is Marlena!
My formal education began at the New England School of Acupuncture where I learned the essentials of Acupuncture and Tui na Massage. I am Board Certified under the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed in Massachusetts. I have worked and/or studied under great practitioners including Dr. Xiao Ming Cheng, Richard Mandell, and Steven Jackowicz, PhD. for Acupuncture; and have continued training with Jeff Cote and Miles Chong Chen, PhD for Tui na Massage.

In 2005, I traveled to Uganda, Africa with Richard Mandell, and his Non-profit organization — the Pan African Acupuncture Project, to help train Midwives, Nurses and other Healthcare workers how to use Acupuncture in their hospitals and clinics. This was a wonderful experience and I learned first hand how much more responsive they were to treatments. This made me even more excited to see how well Chinese Medicine can really work.

My future goal is to have a larger clinic with multiple practitioners so that Bamboo Wellness will be able to treat anyone who walks in the door with success and progress.
