Acupuncturist

Jodie is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by New York State as an acupuncturist. Jodie received her masters level degree in Acupuncture from the New York College of Health Professions. She has been in private practice with offices located in Dix Hills and Hicksville since 2009. She is a founding partner of Acupuncture Associates of Long Island, P.C. located at 535 South Broadway, Hicksville New York. She and her partner developed Acupuncture Associates to bring preventative healthcare and Holistic lifestyle choices to their patients while providing complementary therapies as an adjunct to their patient’s western medical care.

Jodie continuously enjoys her post-graduates studies, mainly focusing on Women’s issues, Acupuncture and Autoimmune diseases, Nutrition for optimum cardio-vascular health, Acupuncture and Oncology, with additional training in Labor & Delivery with Claudia Citkovitz M.S., L.Ac, Dr. Shi Xuemin’s XNKQ Stroke & Dementia Rehab Protocol, as seen in the documentary “9000 Needles”and Japanese needling techniques both with Atsuki Maeda, L.Ac.. She further studied with Dr. Martha Lucas, Ph.D., L.Ac., in the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System for the Face, Neck and Abdomen and with the National Acupuncture Detox Association (NADA) as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist (ADS) in the Lincoln Recovery Center in the Bronx, in New York for treatment of drug and alcohol addicted clientele. In addition to her private practice, Jodie supervises other Acupuncture Detox Specialists (ADS) at the Nassau University Medical Center’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program. She examines Acupuncture students in the Tri-State area for Clean Needle Technique (CNT), for the national organization of Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).

Jodie is experienced in treating many conditions with Acupuncture and is deeply committed to helping the process of human health and healing with the use of these ancient and powerful methods.

Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Jodie obtained a B.S. in Finance from the State University of New Paltz and a B.S. in Professional Science from the New York College of Health Professions. Jodie was successful in her prior career as a V.P. Financial/Budget analyst for two diverse industries, a Not-for-profit, government funded service organization, and a Global Fortune 500 corporation on Wall Street. When Jodie is not pinning her patients, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her family, friends and her fur babies, Sami, Dallas, Precious and Bubu.
