Jamie McClung

Health Coach

Jamie McClung is a Colorado native currently living in Lakewood with her 2 boys. She joined Five Wellbeing Studio + Spa about a year ago as a dual therapist and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her position. Growing up, she loved playing with her nails, skin, and hair, and says, “It has always been a passion of mine. The first time I walked into a salon and spa I thought they had created a place just for me. I had no idea they existed and I loved it. All my favorite things in one place, it was great.” She made the decision to go to cosmetology school to get her license when she was in her early 20s and has been practicing ever since. Over the years, her interest in health and wellbeing grew and in 2013, she went back to school to obtain her massage therapy license so she could expand her skill set. When Jamie was younger she suffered from “really bad skin” and there were some days where she just refused to go to school because of the challenges she had to endure. Now, as a licensed cosmetologist, she has a sincere appreciation for the confidence that comes from having a healthy, glowing complexion. Jamie says, “I love working with people’s skin because I know it can be life-changing when you feel completely confident about people looking at you – and it also feels really good!” Over the years, she has found that many people don’t really know how to take care of their skin. She says she gets a lot of pleasure out of helping them and explains that it doesn’t have to be hard, you just have to learn how. “When I actually got into cosmetology school and started learning about skincare and the importance of the ingredients, it all started to make so much sense. Now the one thing I get complimented on the most is my skin – I am very passionate about it.” She is a big proponent of living from the inside out and says, “If people can learn how to properly take care of their skin on the outside and make some minor changes to diet to support the inside, they will see a big difference.” She continues to say, “If you want to work on the outside you must work on the inside because that is where everything is actually happening. When clients are struggling with acne, rosacea, or dry skin, I always know there is an imbalance. I explain to people that besides eating whole foods that balance the body, there are other things that are equally as important to have good skin that they can incorporate into their routine. Focusing on healthy ways to relieve stress by stretching, doing yoga, mediation, and providing balance for your body type using Ayurvedic remedies, are some of the things I recommend, but the number one thing is WATER! You have to be hydrated.” When asked about her favorite treatments to perform, she said that she really enjoys doing massages because she is highly intuitive and understand the benefit of not only healing the physical body but the energetic body as well. For facials, she says, “I really love our new organic Eminence skin care treatments. All of the Eminence facials that we do are great. In particular, the facials performed on our specialty
