James E. Persing James E. Persing, JD, CPCC, PCC Professional Certified Coach Professional Expertise Over 20 years of working with professionals, Jim has focused on assisting others to reach the high level of potential and personal satisfaction they deserve and need. He has worked in coaching relationships with Fortune 500 companies, local and regional companies, and individuals exploring their own transition and change. After twelve years of practicing law, Jim made the transition to coaching as a more effective way to professionally use his strategic and communication skills. His work has been with a variety of professionals across the globe, from leaders within the United Nations and UNICEF to physicians, attorneys and business executives seeking to become more effective and efficient in their lives and businesses. Working in collaboration with clients to always further their best interests, a coaching relationship with Jim is productive, enjoyable and effective. Professional Experience From the beginning of his coaching work in 2001, Jim has designed and implemented a variety of effective and meaningful coaching experiences. He has created unique coaching plans for individuals and groups, both via telephone and in person, so as to maximize his own skills and remain efficient for his clients. As examples, he has worked with medical professionals, both physicians and executives, for a number of years to expand their effectiveness in a constantly changing environment. In Pennsylvania, he has worked in person with scores of insurance professionals to develop and implement business plans and to take existing businesses to the next level of success. Jim is also very active in working with 360 Reports for professionals and executives, and has created them at all levels from Fortune 500 companies to local start-ups. Internationally, he has most recently been involved as a specially selected executive coach in an International Coach Federation pilot program with the United Nations to coach new and emerging talent identified as future “up and comers” from other countries within the organization. Professional Development Always a learner, Jim places a high emphasis on professional development as a tool for not only his own growth, but as a way to stay fresh and innovative for clients. He is a graduate of Susquehanna University with a Bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in political science and religion. He is also a graduate with a Juris Doctor from The Pennsylvania State-Dickinson School of Law. His coaching education includes certification as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) from the Coaches Training Institute and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation. Additionally, he is certified as a weight loss coach and as a wellness coach through the Wellness Inventory.
