Dr. Susan Sands

Chiropractor

Dr. Sands is a native of Ocala. She was raised in southeast Ocala on a farm and in her earlier years rode American Quarter Horses. She attended Forest High School. Soon after she attended Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville Florida and became a dental hygienist. After experiencing chiropractic for neck problems, she decided to pursue a career change, so she packed up and moved to Atlanta Georgia. She completed her bachelors and doctorate degree at Life University in 1998.

Dr. Sands believes in treating her patients like they are a part of her family. She embraces the approach to wellness by treating the whole person. She uses a range of diverse techniques in combination with rehabilitation, exercise and nutrition to help her patients achieve and maintain optimal health. She also treats patients with more severe injuries after motor vehicle accidents.

Dr. Sands now resides on Lake Weir. She enjoys boating and just being on the water. She is a member of the Lake Weir Yacht Club. She likes to watch University of Florida football, baseball, and softball. She has become a fan of the Carolina Panthers because her cousin Christian McCaffrey is their leading running back.

Dr. Sands volunteers her time with several local charities. She won the Jane Mansfield Award for outstanding dedication to leadership and community service from the CEP. Currently she serves on the board for Leadership Ocala Marion for Chamber Economic Partnership and has been a member of Business Network International for over 10 years.
