Dr. Mackenzie Smith

Chiropractor

Dr. Mackenzie Smith grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York, where she enjoyed being active through sports and began running at an early age.  She has been going to a chiropractor since high school, where she was treated for recurrent ankle injuries while playing soccer and basketball.

Dr. Smith continued to play soccer in college as well as pursued her love of running further, training for multiple half and full marathons while studying for her degree. Her love for chiropractic evolved further as she sought and experienced relief from other injuries while staying active, noticing the tremendous impact that chiropractic care had on her injuries as well as other minor ailments throughout the body. While in school, her sister became pregnant, initiating a spark that soon grew into a love and desire to aid women in preparation with one of the greatest experiences and events of their lives: childbirth.

Dr. Smith earned her BS at Marywood University in Scranton, PA, and then went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY.  In addition to the requirements while pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Smith took additional courses and seminars in order to further advance her manual skills, attending courses through the Motion Palpation Institute, Prague School of Rehabilitation, and McKenzie Institute, among others. With the desire to relocate upon completion of Dr. Smith’s schooling, Raleigh seemed like the perfect fit while she continues on her journey to empower prenatal and postpartum women, as well as the active-minded population.
