Dr. David Blake Jones

Acupuncturist

Dr. David Blake Jones is the founder and CEO of MindBody Wellness Atlanta, LLC, (DBA: Atlanta Restorative Acupuncture). Dr. Jones has been a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist since 2000, and a certified meditation instructor since 2006.

Dr. Jones has studied medical pulse diagnosis under the tutelage of Bob Doane, who owns the nation’s largest Chinese Medicine clinic. He has also taken courses in motor and trigger point needling from experts such as Dr. Anthony Lombardi to better address the root cause of pain, and effectively and rapidly relieve pain and performance inhibiting conditions.

Recently, Dr. Jones began offering the FibroFatigue program, a multiple modality protocol for the healing of Fibromyalgia and autoimmune illnesses.  This comprehensive approach addresses the four main types of Fibromyalgia by changing the terrain of the body and mind, thus allowing healing to take place.

In addition, Dr. Jones now offers online instruction in Primordial Sound Meditation, an effortless technique that fosters the state of Restful Awareness, counterbalances the stress response, and activates the internal pharmacy.  He offers special rates for this class to all of his patients as well to patients of AcuWellness.

Dr. Jones was among the minority of test-takers who passed the California Acupuncture licensing exam (widely considered to be the toughest exam in the nation) in 2000. To sit for that exam, he completed a four-year medical school program in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles.  Dr. Jones then gained certification in Acupuncture Orthopedics. In 2000, he also became a Diplomate of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

In April of 2018, Dr. Jones earned his doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Jones first practiced in Los Angeles, where he treated a wide range of patients, from injured workers to professionals, and helped people overcome a wide variety of health challenges, predominantly pain, and stress-related disorders.

Prior to his move to Los Angeles, Dr. Jones earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Alabama School of Public Health. In that time period, David also cared for terminally ill patients via participation in the Americorps program and Birmingham AIDS Outreach.

In his free time, David enjoys reading, music, meditation, cooking, and physical fitness, and spending time with friends and family.
