Dr. Daniel Silver

Acupuncturist

I am licensed by the Oregon Medical Board, and Diplomate accredited in Acupuncture, Herbology, and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission (NCCAOM). I graduated from Five Branches Institute with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, and prior to this a Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.

I have deepened my understanding of acupuncture and herbal medicine by continuing to study in Japan and China, investigating the skillful innovations and efficacy of this time-tested medicine.

In addition to private practice, I teach at the National University of Natural Medicine with a focus on clinical skills, Chinese herbal medicine, abdominal diagnosis, direct moxibustion, and techniques of Japanese acupuncture.

A comment about Japanese acupuncture treatment:

“I would be pleased to have you use my “words” to hopefully encourage, inspire others to take advantage of the Japanese style of acupuncture. Many people I know have had bad experiences with deep needling technique and it is very hard to get them to try a different style.”
