Wellness Coach

I am a board-certified, licensed, integrative, and functional nutritionist and coach. I work with my clients to understand the root causes of their issues so we can work together to develop solutions that will work in their lives. Located in downtown Frederick, I practice both in the office and virtually. I have a special focus on women’s health if for no other reason than I “get it.” I am a working mother of two teenagers and understand what it is like to take care of others at the expense of yourself. My clients often come to me depleted. They’ve gained weight, feel bloated, have digestive issues, and often are fatigued all the time. Sometimes their doctor has told them they are on the edge of needing medication for blood pressure, blood sugar, or high cholesterol. What worked in their early twenties isn’t working now, and they don’t know what to do. They’ve tried diet after diet in an attempt to find answers, but the answer is much bigger than that. It is about taking care of the whole person because everything works together, and the older we get, the less we can get by with taking shortcuts. It is about turning around and reclaiming your health through learning new lifelong nutrition and lifestyle habits. In addition to the work I do in the office, I also found a way to help address two bigger problems in our community: addiction and childhood food insecurity. As a way to give back to the community and address the growing epidemic of addiction, I also designed a nutrition and integrative health program for addiction recovery. I have been working with this unique population in a group setting for over three years, helping to educate those in recovery on how they can reclaim their health and provide a better path for the recovery process. I also work with a local coach in the area who founded a food pantry for food-insecure athletes. The idea came out of her personally witnessing anxiety developing from these kids because they simply didn’t have the energy to perform well on the field or in the classroom. As a solution, she created a food pantry specifically to fuel student-athletes, which provides them with sport-specific fueling packs, which we designed based on donations obtained from local grocers and private donors. As you determine your next steps, one of the best things you can do is find a practitioner who will hear your needs and work with you. I would love to speak to you and see how I can help you be successful on your journey to better health.
