Dr. Emily Nolfo

Dr. Nolfo graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Russian Studies. She is proud to have been one of the first women freshmen accepted at Princeton. Dr. Nolfo received her M.D. from SUNY-Brooklyn in 1987 and completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital-UConn in 1990. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, having recertified in 2005. She loves the variety of challenges in adult medicine, and believes in forging strong partnerships with her patients and in the power of prevention. Dr. Nolfo is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale Medical School and regularly teaches medical students in her office. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and is on the Executive Board of the Connecticut State and New Haven County Medical Societies. Dr. Nolfo has lived in Guilford since 1978. She is married to Rob Nolfo, M.D., a pediatrician in practice in Guilford, and has two daughters, Lauren and Mariella. She feels a kinship with her patients and remains endlessly dedicated to the practice of medicine as a means to strengthen wellness and quality of life.
