Wendy Hobbins McGrath

Wellness Consultant

I grew up in Maryland the daughter of a physician and a counselor-educator and earned my B.A. at Bennington College and my Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania, but I have learned the most in the chaos of raising two children in Washington, DC with my husband and in the quiet moments practicing on my yoga mat and my meditation cushion. Here is what I know: Each of us already has the innate ability to build up our emotional resilience and have the energy we want and need to live rich, full lives, but we need help to develop supportive habits and the discipline to keep practicing so that we can become our best selves and achieve goals that matter to us. As an educator, former school administrator, and lifelong learner with a background in qualitative research it’s fair to say that I value formal education. But I will tell you that much of what I have learned practicing mindfulness, yoga, positive psychology and HeartMath are, in fact, what sustain me daily. I am certified as a Positive Psychology Coach, HeartMath Trainer and Trauma-Sensitive Practitioner, Stress and Well-Being Assessment Provider, and Registered Yoga Teacher. And I am eager to share with you proven techniques to help you gain greater self-awareness, increase your resilience, and align your actions, intentions, and values. I think you will find, as I have, this will translate into functioning with more emotional energy, less everyday stress, and greater joy and authenticity. You already have the tools to change inside you. Now is the time to recognize and use them to get where you want to go in life, love, and work.
