Myofascial Release Therapist

I Love What I Do! It is so rewarding when a client tells me they are out of pain and that their life is better. To be a part of someones healing, often when others methods have not helped, is exciting. I have been a practitioner for over thirty years, and worked with a wide range of clients and health issues, I still have the passion I began with. In 1990 I became a certified Massage Therapist at Monterey Institute of Touch in Carmel Valley . Moving back to Arizona, I started a private practice after working at Elizabeth Arden’s Maine Chance Spa in Scottsdale. Wanting to help clients even more, I decided to become a physical therapist and began working at St. Josephs’s/Barrow’s neurological rehabilitation. In 2001, I received my doctorate of physical therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. From 2001 to 2009, I was a physical therapist at Flagstaff Medical Center. Working in the Neuro Rehabilitation Center until it closed,. I then provided care throughout the hospital, treating patients from preemies to 105 years and with a wide variety of health issues. In 2009 I left the hospital to be the rehab director for Amedysis Home Health, then in 2011 I became an independent physical therapy contractor for home health and skilled nursing agencies in Arizona. In 2014, I began training with John F Barnes, the founder of Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach and discovered what I had been searching for; a treatment that brings authentic healing to people with lasting and profound effects. Bearhand Physical Therapy, specializing in myofascial release, opened January 1, 2020. I look forward to bringing well-being and good health to the lives I touch.
