Keala C. Weinstock

Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist

I am a Board Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist and have been in the practice of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy for 23 years. I was very fortunate to have been able to learn directly from one of the pioneers of this field, Dr. Janet Travell, and I am dedicated to preserving her work, techniques, (among them, the Spray and Stretch Technique) and treatment approach to Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. I have also studied under Paul St. John (Neuromuscular Therapy), Nancy Shaw, Dr. Brendan Stack, Dr. Wes Shankland, Dr. Lucy Whyte-Ferguson. I have had extensive training and exposure to the treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunctions from Drs. Stack, Shankland, and my husband, Dr. Michael Weinstock. My practice currently addresses Chronic Myofascial Pain issues including Frozen Shoulder, Rotator Cuff Injuries, Headaches, Neck and Shoulder Pain, TMJD, Lumbar and Sciatic Pain, Tennis Elbow, Golfer’s Elbow, Hip, Knee, Arm, and Leg Pain, as well as other aches and pains of unknown origins. My other areas of training are in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF Stretching) from Robert McAtee, Muscle Energy Technique (MET) from Dr. Leon Chaitow, Anatomy Trains-Tom Myers. Currently, I am a Level 1 Rossiter Technique coach. I am trained and certified in Biomechanical Trauma from Motor Vehicle Accidents, Medical Massage, Posture and Body Dynamics. I am a Clinical Associate of the American Academy of Pain Management and a Professional Member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. When I am not working, I enjoy travel, playing the piano, guitar, drawing, reading, Polynesian dancing, and computer gaming.
